Service and Support

Since 1997 all our on-line labelling equipment has come with our unique 2-Year on-site warranty, as standard, giving you complete peace of mind, which means that for the first two years of owning an ALS labelling system, you won’t have any servicing costs to worry about. This is not a time-limited offer or a gimmick, just confidence in supplying well made products which are fit for purpose in a production environment.

Of course, at some point you may need on-site help or for a machine service and so ALS has fully qualified, regionally-based service and support engineers throughout the UK. This enables us to give you fast response times and usually a first-time fix. Our engineers’ vehicles are fully stocked with spare parts so they can usually resolve any issues on site; this keeps your systems working at their optimum production capacity.

Quite often, a problem can be sorted out quickly and efficiently over the phone, usually by the same workshop technician who built your machine.

Our philosophy is simple, if you understand your customer’s needs, have the experience and “know-how “ to solve their problems, employ motivated people to make it happen, you end up supplying the right labelling machine for the job – one that will not only meet but exceed their expectations, within budget and continue working reliably for many years thereafter.

AFTER SALES SUPPORT

Once your ALS system has been installed, it doesn’t stop there. We are available to support you with help in various ways:

Training: We can’t place enough emphasis on training. Usually performed at your site, on your machine, we tailor our training sessions to suit the people, such as; Operators, Supervisors and Technicians, to give the relevant users the right degree of product knowledge, allowing them to get the best out of the equipment. Training documentation and certificates are issued to those attaining the correct level of ability.

Over The Phone: Our workshop technicians have direct access to all records, pictures and drawings relating to your specific system, referenced by our unique job numbers, clearly marked on each machine and the serial numbers on each module. So no matter when it was first installed, we can usually pinpoint the answer fairly swiftly. All calls received are logged for tracking purposes and with the cross section of experience and skills available in-house many problems can be sorted quickly and efficiently over the phone.

Field Service Engineers: There are times when you need the assistance of an engineer on-site. Our engineers are based up and down the country, carrying extensive stocks of most parts, to enable a first-time fix, machine service or additional training.

Spare Parts: Unfortunately nothing lasts for ever and some components will be wear-parts such as thermal print heads, drive belts and rollers. It is often recommended to stock some of these parts yourself, however an extensive stock holding of spare parts is held in our warehouse and orders received before 4pm are despatched the same day.
